To take courses as a special student, you must be enrolled in a graduate program at another higher education institution.
The special student application fee is 1,000 TL per hour, and the fee for one course is 3 credits × 1,000 TL = 3,000 TL. For detailed information, click here.

Important:
- The fee must be paid from the applicant’s own account.
- When making the payment, the description must include: "S.S. Application 2025–2026 Spring – Applicant’s Name".
- To take courses as a special student, you must be enrolled in a graduate program at another higher education institution.
- The decision of the institute administrative board of the student’s home university regarding the special student course request must reach our Institute no later than February 20, 2026.
Required Documents:
- Special Student Course Registration Form (SBE.FR.0031 SPECIAL STUDENT COURSE REGISTRATION FORM (This form must be completed electronically and first approved by the Head of Department and the instructor of the course, then submitted in person to our Institute.)
- Initially, a student certificate from the currently enrolled program. Subsequently, the Institute Administrative Board decision obtained no later than February 20, 2026.
- Copy of Turkish ID card; for foreign students, a copy of passport.
- Payment receipt
Explanations:
- Special students may request cancellation of registration or course changes at their own discretion during the Course Add/Drop period specified in the Academic Calendar (February 19–20, 2026).
- Special student course registration is conducted on a semester basis; applicants who wish to apply in the following semester must repeat all procedures.
- Special students pay the tuition fees determined by the Senate, register for and attend courses, and fulfill the obligations specified in the Graduate Education and Examination Regulations for the semester in which they take courses; however, they cannot benefit from student rights.
- Special students are not awarded a diploma or title. A document showing their special student status, courses taken, and grades may be issued.
- Special students are subject to the Higher Education Institutions Student Disciplinary Regulation published in the Official Gazette dated 18/08/2012 and numbered 28388.
