Special Student Applications (2025–2026 Academic Year – Fall Semester)
Special student applications for the 2025–2026 Academic Year Fall Semester will be accepted between September 16–29, 2025.
To take courses as a special student, candidates must be enrolled in a graduate program at another higher education institution.
The special student application fee is 1000 TL per credit, and the total course fee is calculated as credit × 1000 TL.

To take courses as a special student, candidates must be registered in a graduate program at another higher education institution.
The Institute Administrative Board Decision regarding the applicant’s course request, approved by their home university, must reach our Institute no later than October 7, 2025.
Special Student Course Registration Form
(This form – SBE.FR.0031 Special Student Course Registration Form – must be filled out electronically, approved first by the Department Chair and the Course Instructor, and then submitted in person to our Institute.)
Required documents:
Student certificate from the currently enrolled program (initially).
The Institute Administrative Board Decision must be submitted by October 7, 2025.
Copy of Turkish ID card (for Turkish citizens) or passport copy (for foreign students).
Bank receipt (payment slip).
Notes:
Special students may cancel their registration or change courses upon their own request within the Add/Drop period specified in the Academic Calendar.
Special student course registrations are valid for one semester only. Candidates who wish to continue in the following semester must reapply and complete all procedures again.
Special students pay tuition fees determined by the Senate, register for courses, attend classes, and fulfill the obligations stated in the Graduate Education and Examination Regulations for the semester they take the course(s).
However, they cannot benefit from student rights.
Special students do not receive a diploma or title.
They may be issued a document showing the courses taken and grades received under the special student status.
