Stage 3
The Academic Unit Board Decision must be attached to the detailed justification. If there is a shortage of academic staff and steps have been taken to resolve it (e.g., staff request from YÖK, staff transfer, etc.), relevant documents from your unit or the Personnel Department and an explanation of how the course will be delivered must be included.
(If academic staff is complete, these explanations are not required.)
Institute Board Decision (Once the program opening request file is prepared in accordance with the specified forms, it will be placed on the Institute Board agenda by us.)
**** After the program opening proposal submitted by our university academic units is approved by the University Senate and subsequently accepted by the Council of Higher Education, in order to enter the newly opened programs and old programs to be added into the new system into the Student Information System, please download the template.
As is known, according to the “Principles on Opening and Conducting Graduate Education Programs,” a Master's program can be opened with at least three faculty members, two of whom must be professors and/or associate professors. A Doctoral program can be opened with at least six faculty members, two of whom must be full professors; or if one is a full professor, at least two must be associate professors.
