✔He has to take the proficiency exam by the end of the fifth semester at the latest. ✔ Selects, registers and approves the qualification stage from the Student Affairs Information System. |
✔Enters the results of the specialization course and the proficiency exam in the Student Affairs Information System as successful (B) or unsuccessful (F) within the periods determined in the academic calendar. ✔Within one month after the Proficiency Exam, at least one faculty member from outside the program recommends three faculty members as TIK members to the head of the department (Form 10). |
✔Dönemin başında Anabilim Dalı Doktora Yeterlik Komitesi tarafından belirlenen Doktora Yeterlilik Sınav Jürisini Enstitüye önerir (Form 8). ✔Reports the proficiency exam result as Successful (B) or Unsuccessful (F) to the institute within three days following the proficiency exam (Form 9). ✔ Within one month after the Proficiency Exam, TIK members are determined with the recommendation of the advisor and recommended to the Institute (Form 10).

✔The student whose thesis proposal is accepted makes a presentation about the thesis to the members of TIK during the semester. One month before the meeting date, TIK presents a written report to its members containing the developments regarding its thesis.

✔Submits the evaluation report of the thesis monitoring committee, the summary of the studies done so far and the work plan to be made in the next semester to the department in a minute (Form 12). ✔At the end of the semester, he/she makes a grade entry in the Student Affairs Information System in accordance with the academic calendar as successful (B) or unsuccessful (F). |
✔ Notifies the institute of the evaluation report of the thesis monitoring committee sent by the advisor (Form 12). |

| Thesis Defense and Subsequent Actions |
✔To be successful in all courses taken at the end of maximum four semesters. ✔To complete the thesis work by the end of twelve semesters. |

✔General academic average should be 3.00/4.00. ✔Must have taken Scientific Research Techniques and Publication Ethics course. ✔Must have submitted at least three thesis monitoring committee reports in total. ✔He/she must write his/her thesis in accordance with the thesis writing rules approved by the Senate and defend his/her thesis in front of the jury until the beginning of the following semester at the latest. ✔SMust have an article published/accepted for publication (with a DOI number) in the field indexes accepted by the SCI, SCI-Expanded, SSCI, AHCI or UAK Presidency in the Associate Professorship exam. ✔The thesis must be submitted to the jury members appointed by the Institute's board of directors, within 15 days at the latest. ✔If he/she is successful in the exam, he/she must submit a bound thesis and CD and other graduation documents to the Institute, by making the corrections suggested by the jury, if any, within one month at the latest.

✔ Recommends the thesis defense jury to the head of the department (Form 13). ✔ At the latest until the beginning of the following semester, it checks the conformity of the thesis prepared by the student with the thesis writing rules approved by the Senate, and reports the plagiarism report of the thesis to the head of the Department. |
✔It notifies the Graduate School of the thesis defense jury, which is formed with the recommendation of its advisor (Form 13). ✔Submits the Thesis Defense Exam Minute Form (Form 14) and personal reports form (form 15) to the Graduate School within three days. |
