The "2023 Most Successful Doctoral Thesis Awards" Ceremony Was Held with Great Enthusiasm

The "2023 Most Successful Doctoral Thesis Awards" ceremony, organized by Gazi University in collaboration with Türkiye Halk Bankası A.Ş. and Gazi Teknopark A.Ş., was held with great enthusiasm.

The event, held at the Rectorate Mimar Kemaleddin Hall, was attended by our Rector, Professor Dr. Uğur Ünal; Halkbank Ankara 1st Regional Coordinator, Erdoğan Özdemir; Vice Rectors, Professor Dr. Necdet Hayta, Professor Dr. Hasan Tezer, and Professor Dr. Serhat Karyeyen; Secretary General, Mustafa Afşar; Rector's Advisors, Professor Dr. Selami Candan, Professor Dr. Serdar Polat, Professor Dr. Togay Seçkin Birbudak, Dr. Ahmet Bilal Dostbil; Halkbank Gazi University Branch Manager, Güner Altınok; Customer Relations Officer, Erdem Aydın; Deans, Directors, Department Heads, Academics, Guests, and Students.

The program began with a moment of silence and the National Anthem, followed by a music performance presented by Dr. Selçuk Bilgin, Lecturer Erkan Tonyalı, and Research Assistant Berkcan Kayaarslan.

In his opening speech, our Rector, Professor Dr. Uğur Ünal, stated, "Today, we are here to present the 2023 Most Successful Doctoral Thesis Awards to the scholars who have completed their doctoral studies in our university's institutes and have earned the title of Doctor. These scholars were selected based on criteria determined by the relevant boards of the institutes."

Emphasizing the strategic importance of supporting doctoral education and academic activities, our Rector, Professor Dr. Uğur Ünal, concluded his speech with the following words: "In this regard, while congratulating our doctoral scientists who have earned the 2023 Most Successful Doctoral Thesis Award, I would like to convey a message to all doctoral graduates: You are now scientists. Let us not forget that scientific research and innovative ideas not only nourish the academic world but also contribute to social development. With the achievements you have gained, you will be guides who illuminate the future of our country."

After the opening speech by our Rector, Professor Dr. Uğur Ünal, the award ceremony took place. The program ended after the presentation of certificates of success and awards, followed by group photos.
